Hi, I’m Amanda. I’m a licensed, registered, and insured Master Practitioner Clinical Counsellor (#4748), Counselling Therapist (#2683), Psychotherapist/Professional Counsellor (#3160), pursuing a MA in Executive and Organizational Coaching (ICF Member #010909459I).
As a Clinician, I specialize in the treatment of Personality Disorders (certified C-DBT, Trauma and Grief) and subsequent concerns such as Anxiety, Addictions, ADHD, and Depression for clients and support systems. Separate from this, as an Executive Coach, I work with executive teams and boards, first responders, educators, and healthcare professionals to identify and mitigate hazards and risks to create environments that promote health, wellness, safety, and well-being for all. *Booking info on site.
We work through big stuff in sessions and lunch and learns, and I provide skills training, consulting, and resources between appointments to ensure you feel empowered and can move through your experiences with confidence, assurance, and intentional responses for the best outcomes.

cLINICAL SUPPORT
Putting the pieces together
When you are feeling low, down, spiralling, depressive, anxious, and having what many call “an episode,” it can be hard to know where to start. I can help guide your memories, experiences, and traumas into healing and a plan of action to overcome and manage what holds you. Maybe your friends, family, or partner suggested you talk to someone. Perhaps you agree this is important, or maybe not- it’s okay. Perhaps you woke up today and decided to reach out because you are done with how things are going. We can piece it together and walk through your story. It took courage to bring you here!

Walking in the weeds
Once we understand what is happening for you, what’s been done to you (and not), and how you are processing things in your memory and current situation, we can start to implement strategies, solutions, coping skills, and communication skills that both provide safety and boundaries. Through talking, inner work, emotion identification and regulation, situational awareness, and goal progression, you will start to feel, think, and act in alignment. You control the pace. You make progress. You change your life. I support you and assist you safely and encouragingly.

Turning point
The goal of therapy is to help you feel good, not just some of the time but most of the time. There are so many things we can do to help! Often, clients will tell me therapy changed their lives but that it is hard work, and it is done by YOU. When you are guided and supported in doing the tough stuff and realize one day in a moment that used to be hard that you are now better equipped than you used to be…it’s because you made great changes and did it. I am happy to support your journey and story as long as needed.

FAQs
How are the sessions conducted?
Sessions are conducted online via a secure video conferencing platform, ensuring convenience and accessibility for clients regardless of location.
What activities will I do?
Things like worksheets, watching videos, mediations, activities, exercises, role-playing, journaling, relaxation activities, visualization, reading, playing, and so much more! It will depend on your schedule and preferences.
What commitment is required?
Most clients attend sessions weekly or twice per month.
What results can I expect?
This will depend entirely on how you move through our sessions and what is happening in your life. The more you put in, the more you will likely receive. I am happy to try and keep pace with your progress and unique situation. You will find that I give space for days you just need to BE, and coach and motivate and suggest on days you need more. We are in this together and there is no right or wrong way to get better…
How much do sessions cost?
Each 50-minute session is $200.00 plus GST. Note I am covered by over 80% of Canadian Benefits plans. Please always check your personal plan to ensure it covers my services.
Is there an option to meet in person?
I have found over the years that many people prefer to join from the comfort of their own homes or offices. Driving issues, traffic concerns, tight calendars, and appointment overcrowding are real issues! Joining virtually and staying connected through email allows freedom to be where you are, as you are, without concern or missed appointment fees.
Can more than one member of our family be in therapy with you?
Yes. I am trained to support people individually without there being a conflict of interest. Everyone is unique, has a personal story and viewpoint, and a past to heal from. IF I find I am not able to offer the right non-biased kind of support, I will gladly refer you to a colleague without hesitation. Sometimes having consistent support in the home makes a big difference in the family/home life.
